Lauren Wurster,

Nurse Practitioner & Founder

Lauren Wurster is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and the Founder of San Carlos IV Bar. She has 15 years of nursing and IV placing experience and has trained with some of the nation’s top physicians and nurses in Women’s Health and Dermatology. Lauren grew up in Upstate New York and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Human Development. Lauren completed her Master’s in Nursing at the University of Virginia and her Post-Masters as a Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University. She was named Georgetown Hospital’s “Nurse of the Year” after two years of practice. Lauren transitioned from Women’s Health to Dermatology in 2013 and has worked in some of the busiest practices on both the East and West Coast, treating both cosmetic and medical dermatologic conditions. Lauren’s strong medical background and training, combined with her aesthetic eye, allow her to offer expert advice on ways to improve your skin and overall health. As the founder of San Carlos IV Bar office location in 2021, she has created a more intimate space with a team of top injectors, laser specialists, and master aestheticians. This aesthetics practice created a health, beauty, and design sanctuary where patients can feel comfortable and are given the time and attention that everyone deserves.

Lauren Pistor, DNP

Aesthetician

Lauren completed her nursing degree in 2012 and has since worked in medical and aesthetic specialties. She has received her Nurse Practitioner license and Doctorate of Nursing Practice, FNP from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in April 2019. Lauren is passionate about the field of Aesthetics and is dedicated to providing patients with innovative and safe treatments to help them feel and look their best. Lauren is from Santa Cruz and likes to spend her free time visiting family and friends and enjoying the California coast.

Eliana Ramirez, RN, BSN

Aesthetician

Eliana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated with honors. Eliana specializes in advanced non-invasive medical treatments for facial balancing and skin rejuvenation. She is extremely passionate when it comes to neurotoxins and resurfacing treatments and believes aesthetic treatments are a way to enhance individual beauty.

Laura Carlos, RN

Nurse Practitioner & Founder

With more than a decade of experience as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Laura Carlos received her Nursing degree from Samuel Merritt University. She has spent her career working for and training under some of the top plastic surgeons and dermatologists in the country. By working with such a diverse group, Laura was able to provide an artistic eye and skilled hand using combination therapy of both lasers and injectables, ensuring her patients always get the best results. She loves to make sure people feel as good on the outside as they do on the inside.

Angelina Armendariz, L.E

Aesthetician

Hi lovelies! My name is Angelina. I am a licensed Clinical Aesthetician with 7+ years of experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
As a person who struggled with acne in the past, I was able to find confidence in medical-grade skin treatments/products. I found my passion in helping others and working intimately with my patients to ensure they look and feel beautiful in their skin.

I studied Aesthetics at San Jose City College, where I received my Aesthetician License in 2013. I’ve gained most of my medical/dermatology experience working with patients of all skin types and ethnicities alongside board-certified dermatologists and top nurses in the Bay area.
Everyone’s skin is unique; therefore, I take great pride in creating a personalized treatment plan for your skin type and concerns; also managing conditions such as acne, melasma, rosacea, aging skin, and overall just maintaining a healthy and youthful glow.

I believe the power of prevention is the key to aging gracefully. I am dedicated to educating and providing preventive medical-grade skin care treatments for my patients to help them achieve their skin goals and feel their best confident selves both inside and out.

Fun Facts: I am a California native, born and raised in the South Bay Area!

I enjoy spending time with my family. I absolutely love being a Mom. My two kids keep me extra busy. I also enjoy reading, traveling, art, and listening to podcasts.

Kirra Loucks, Front Desk Coordinator

Nurse Practitioner & Founder

Kirra grew up in San Carlos and is proud to serve the community she calls home at the front desk of San Carlos IV Bar. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, where she played Division I softball and developed a strong interest in health and recovery. Kirra is also a licensed esthetician and massage therapist, bringing a strong background in wellness to her role. She previously worked at the front desk for her family’s chiropractic office, and enjoys helping create a welcoming experience for every client who walks through the door.

Maia Kirkbride, Aesthetic Medical Assistant

Aesthetician

Maia is our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA CCMA, 2025) who recently completed her associate degree in Allied Health and is currently applying to nursing school. Maia was born and raised in San Carlos. She is proud to be part of the local community and also works at Town restaurant in San Carlos. Maia enjoys combining healthcare and aesthetics while continuing to learn from and observe the experienced nurses at SCIVB.

JHOSELYN Rodriguez

Office Manager

Hi there! I’m Jhoselyn. I am the Office Manager at SCIVB.

I completed my Medical Assistant License at San Francisco State University and worked as a Medical Assistant in a Cosmetic and Medical Dermatology office.
(Fun fact; that’s where Lauren and I met. We go way back).

I found my place when I went back to school, and I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a focus on Industrial & Organizational Psych from Florida International University. This allows me to have the flexibility to run the practice and put my best foot forward, but also dip into the medical part to educate all of our patients.

Having had hands-on experience truly taught me the ins and outs of aesthetic treatments, which in return helps me guide you along the way from start to finish. I take pride in making sure your questions are all answered and that you’re happy after meeting with our wonderful staff. I truly hope you choose us as your next go-to spot. I promise you won’t regret it.

DAYNA KARP

FRONT DESK COORDINATOR

Hi Everyone! I’m Dayna and I am SVICB’s Front Desk Coordinator.

I am a Bay Area Naive, from just one city over and currently reside here in San Carlos. I am a mom of two kiddos (the best job of all). I take pride in living, working, and referring local friends, family, and fellow school parents around town to San Carlos IV Bar. My goal is to provide exceptional customer service and create a positive first impression to new clients and returning.

I have a huge passion and understanding for skin care. I received my CA Aesthetician License in 2009. I practiced in Atherton, at a day spa for many years, working alongside a wonderful group of women.

I’ve also had other administrative positions at high end real estate companies on the peninsula. I have always had a fond appreciation for the administrative side of a business.

Fun Facts: When I’m not working you can find me spending time with my family. We love the coast and being at the beach. I love camping, boating, cooking, & hanging with our backyard chickens.
