PRP in San Carlos, CA

At San Carlos IV Bar in San Carlos, CA, we offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for both the face and scalp, a revolutionary treatment that utilizes your body’s own growth factors to stimulate natural healing and rejuvenation. PRP is a procedure where a small amount of your own blood is drawn, processed to concentrate the platelets, and then injected back into the targeted areas. This process harnesses the regenerative properties of platelets to promote collagen production, improve skin texture, and stimulate hair growth.

PRP for the face can treat various concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and dull skin. It can also be used to enhance overall skin tone and improve sun-damaged skin’s appearance. PRP for the scalp is beneficial for individuals experiencing hair loss or thinning hair. By injecting PRP directly into the scalp, it can stimulate hair follicles, leading to thicker, healthier hair growth.

PRP (also known as Platelet Rich Plasma) is one of the most powerful anti-aging and restorative treatments available. PRP uses your own blood to heal and rejuvenate areas of concern, which is now being utilized in all areas of medicine. PRP is prepared by using a special tube to draw your blood and an in-office machine to spin your blood that will then isolate the most active and useful parts. This serum can then be injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth or applied to the face during microneedling- when there are millions of open channels to absorb this “liquid gold”.

PRP for hair loss treatments are recommended once per month for 4 consecutive months, then 3 times per year as maintenance (to keep the hair follicles active). This treatment is great for men and women who are concerned with thinning hair, hair loss, or increased hair shedding- due to stress, hormonal changes, or surgery.

AnteAGE MD is also an option for patients who prefer to not have their blood drawn for the procedure, but want to deliver strong anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating growth factors into the skin during their procedure. Please discuss with your provider which one might be right for you.
